Desierto de Zagora
Day 1: Marrakech – Zagora Desert
Pick up at the riad / hotel where you stay at 8am. We will go to the desert of Zagora, through the Draa Valley.
We will cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka pass, where the highest point of the whole country can be reached by car (2,260m), along the way we will find many nomadic villages , Berbers.
On the way south, we will cross part of the Anti Atlas, through the port with a height, this time, of 1,710m and the town of Ait Saoun, old road of caravans of merchants who came from the Sahara ‘Tombouktu’ until we reach the first center administrative, the town of Agdz.
Through lunar landscapes of the presahara we will reach Zagora, a small town in the region of the Saadian dynasty (Saadian Tombs of Marrakech) that gorbernaron Morocco in the 17th century.
In Zagora, we will go with dromedaries to the jaima camp where we will see the sunset, have dinner and spend the night under the starry sky.
Day 2: Zagora – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
We will get up early to start the morning with the energy and tranquility that transmits the beautiful image of sunrise in the dunes. After admiring the fabulous sunrise and breakfast, we will return with the dromedaries to where we have the 4×4.
We will return to Marrakech, deviating from the road to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for being the scene of more than twenty films, such as Babel or Lawrence of Arabia.
Visit this impressive fortified town.
Arrival in Marrakech at night. Transfer to your Riad, farewell and end of our services.
