Tour

IMPERIAL CITIES FROM MARRAKECH

5 days / 4 nights

Cascada de Ouzoud

Cascada de Ouzoud

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Beni Mellal

Pick up at the riad / hotel where you stay at 8am. We will head northeast until we reach the impressive Ouzoud Waterfalls. These waterfalls are the highest (110m high) and considered the most beautiful in the country. Ouzoud is a Berber word that means ‘olive’, that is due to the olive trees that are close to this waterfall.
After witnessing this wonder that nature provides us, we will arrive at the city of Beni Mellal, this city is said to be one of the oldest villages in North Africa where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Beni Mellal – Azrou – Ifran – Fez

The second day, after breakfast, we will continue our journey in the direction of Fez through the mountains of the Middle Atlas, passing through the towns of Ifran and Azrou. Ifran is located at an altitude of 1,713m, which has a cold climate, so the architecture of the city is a great contrast for this country, being more typical of the center. Moroccan families usually climb to enjoy their ski slopes. Azrou, on the other hand, is known for rug crafts.
During the journey we will also pass through the forest of the cedars where you can enjoy seeing the Berber monkeys or monkeys of Gibraltar.
Night in a riad / hotel in Fez. Free dinner

Day 3: Visit the Medina of Fez

This day we will reserve it, to know the oldest imperial city of Morocco, founded by Moulay Idriss II in the VIII century. An official local guide will be waiting for us to show us the wonderful Medina of Fez el Bali, declared a World Heritage Site more than 30 years ago.
After the Medina, we will see the Medersa Attarine, one of the most beautiful Koranic schools in Fez. The following points in the itinerary are the Ennajarine Fountain and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, founder of Fez.
Then we will go to the Karawiyin Mosque, belonging to the Karawiyin University, the oldest in history, founded in the year 880 and, finally, you can visit the Medina of Fez Jdid, the new part of the city.
Night again in Fez. Free dinner

Day 4: Fez – Meknes – Volubbilis – Rabat

Once we have breakfast, we will go to the Atlantic coast to visit Meknes, there you can see beautiful mosques and luxurious palaces. Another one of the visits of this day is the Roman ruins of Volúbilis, an authentic monument declared Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO.
We will finish the day in the capital of Morocco, Rabat, where we will visit the magnificent mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan II, the Kasbah of Oudayas and the Méchouar (the ramps and walls that surround the Royal Palace).
We will spend the night in Rabat. Free Dinner

Day 5: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

The last day of the tour we will visit Casablanca, which is known as the economic and cultural capital of Morocco. In this city we will see some of the most important places, such as the Mosque of Hassan II, one of the largest in the world.
After visiting Casablanca we will take the road back to Marrakech, where we will arrive around 5pm.
