CHEFCHAOUEN
(from Fez)

Chefchaouen
After spending a day in the fantastic city of Fez and its magical alleys, why not venture into a charming city, as is Chefchaouen or also known as the Blue Town.
The toponymy of the name Chefchaouen comes to refer to the two peaks that can be seen from the city: Ashaouen (the horns) and Shuf (look), therefore Chefchaouen would look at the horns.
We will start the tour with the reception at the hotel or riad where you stay.
Then we will go to the Rif mountain range, where our destination is, Chaouen. Once we get to the town, you can enjoy there around 5 hours, going through its irregular, narrow, cobbled streets and with the walls of its white and bluewashed houses.
This comes by the providence of the ex-Al-Andalus, both Muslims and Jews and therefore the similarity with some towns in Andalusia.
What to see in the city:
Inside the Medina you can not miss the Uta el-Hammam square, the Great Mosque (differentiating from all the mosques for its octagonal minaret) and the Kasbah (where you can enjoy the wonderful garden, the museum and an art gallery)
).
Once you have crossed your medina, you can continue walking until you reach its famous waterfall Ras el-Maa where you can breathe fresh air and also stay amazed with the views that provide the city located in the valley and its hills all green.
The tour will end back at your riad / hotel in Fez around 7pm.
